A modern international-level arena in the heart of Petropavlovsk
«Karasay» Stadium (formerly «Avangard») is the main sports arena of Petropavlovsk and the home field of FC «Kyzylzhar». The stadium was built in 1967 and is located in the central part of the city.
After a major reconstruction in 2023-2025, the stadium meets UEFA Category 4 standards, allowing it to host European club tournament matches.

From «Avangard» to «Karasay»
«Avangard» stadium was built in the central part of Petropavlovsk. This was an important event for the development of sports in the region.
Replacing grass turf with synthetic. The work lasted three years and was completed in summer 2010.
Strengthening load-bearing structures, renovating stands, building under-stand facilities, replacing turf with modern artificial surface meeting UEFA standards, installing new scoreboard.
An additional training football field with artificial turf was built next to the stadium.
After qualifying for the UEFA Conference League in 2021, major reconstruction began. Complete replacement of lighting, scoreboard, sound equipment, installation of field heating and irrigation, stand reconstruction, canopy installation. The stadium received UEFA Category 4.
